Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) Cross-Linked (XLPE) rods are engineered to deliver enhanced wear resistance, improved fatigue performance, and superior long-term stability compared to conventional UHMWPE materials. These rods are produced from medical-grade UHMWPE resin and undergo a controlled cross-linking process using gamma irradiation, followed by appropriate thermal treatment to stabilize free radicals.

The cross-linking process modifies the polymer structure at a molecular level, resulting in reduced wear rates, improved abrasion resistance, and enhanced oxidative stability, making XLPE rods highly suitable for orthopedic, surgical, and precision medical applications.

The specifications listed in the table represent typical material performance ranges obtained through standardized testing methods. All mechanical, physical, and thermal properties are evaluated in accordance with recognized ASTM and ISO test standards, ensuring consistency, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
